Nora is a current Master's of Migration Studies student at the University of San Francisco. Before starting the Master's program, she was an Americorps member serving the Yakima Valley Farm Worker's Clinic. Since arriving to the Bay area last year for her program she has been seeking to be an active part and a voice in the Latino community. She has been working and volunteering at nonprofits, it has always been one of her interests. Being able to intern for Prospera gives Nora the opportunity to continue to gain experience within the nonprofit sector as well as continue to support the Latino community. She is the Program Intern, supporting the outreach, recruitment and delivery of our Explora and Founders School program, as well as completing research to improve our programs. Nora was born in Nayarit, Mexico, but was raised in the state of Washington. Therefore, she has always been surrounded by strong Latino support. After finishing her Master's program this upcoming May 2018, She would like to continue to be involved in advocating and fighting for the rights of Latino immigrants here in the United States by either pursuing a Phd or a JD degree.
