Our Community Education is a series of ongoing activities, events and services that promote literacy about the benefits of cooperative business to the Latino community.
In this interactive 1.5 to 2-hour workshop, Latina leaders will learn basic business and cooperative principles as well as how to cultivate their leadership and financial independence. Participants will learn how to jump start their entrepreneurial passion, gain tools to assess personal strengths and the capacity to launch businesses. Together, we will explore the advantages of alternative business models, like cooperatives, and how nonprofits like Prospera can support the development of Latina entrepreneurs.
Charlas are 2-hour casual meetings, held 3-4 times a year, that celebrate successful entrepreneurs of local businesses. Business owners share their entrepreneurial experiences in a conversational way, creating a fun, safe and unique space where attendees and guests have the opportunity to explore, learn and connect.
