Beginnings and their challenges

It all began with a very real need: finding balance between her profession and raising her daughters. That was the driving force that pushed Daphne Rizzo to become an entrepreneur. It was not an easy decision, but a deeply necessary one. And although the journey was full of obstacles, one thing never changed: her determination not to give up.

Her entrepreneurial journey began in 2020, amid the uncertainty of the pandemic. After having worked in cleaning services and spending eight years in the food industry, she saw how colleagues were losing their jobs overnight. Meanwhile, she found an opportunity in cleaning services, which were considered essential at the time. This is how she began to carve her path in a new sector.

Despite her efforts, the path was not linear. After losing all her savings in a real estate program, she took a firm step and registered her business, Susy’s Cleaning Services SF, in November 2022. However, shortly after, she suffered another major setback: a cybersecurity incident during the registration process caused her to lose what little she had left after her first investment. That experience left a deep mark, creating distrust toward the digital world.

Even so, her commitment was unwavering. Before meeting Prospera, she would travel from San Francisco to Sacramento to work on her first business plan, regardless of how long it took. Each trip was further proof that her dream was serious and that she would not give up.

A turning point

Daphne learned about Prospera through an ally. That moment marked a turning point.

Getting started was not easy. Lack of knowledge, absence of business training, and the high cost of learning “on the go” represented major challenges. She started practically from zero. But one thing never lacked: her drive to move forward, and that was when she founded Pro-Realty Eco Cleaning Solutions, her current company.

During 2023, Daphne faced one of the biggest challenges for any entrepreneur: pricing her work. It was during this process that Prospera’s support was key in strengthening not only her strategy, but also her entrepreneurial mindset.

One of her greatest achievements was signing a contract with a corporate client worth approximately $35,000 per year. That moment not only validated her business model, but also the value of her service and all the professionalism and passion she had invested to get there. She especially remembers the client’s words: “You remind me of when I started. That’s why I trust you and your services.”

Beyond the transaction, it was the human connection, empathy, and respect for her work that allowed her to build that relationship. And there she learned a key lesson: business is also built through human connection.

Her journey through Vuela: learning to fly
In 2024–2025, Daphne participated in Prospera’s Vuela program, an experience that transformed her business and her vision.

Thanks to the program’s structured support and consulting, she managed to reorganize her company and improve systems and processes. Today, she serves 53 clients, including real estate agents, offices, businesses, and clinics.

The results speak for themselves: she grew from $27,000 in 2024 to $86,000 in 2025. Her goal now is to reach between $100,000 and $115,000 in 2026. She currently earns between $10,000 and $15,000 per month, with a net profit of $4,000 to $5,000 after covering costs and her salary.

In addition, she has created jobs and was able to hire two employees, and has grown without needing to take on debt.

As she puts it:

“Finishing the Vuela program is a mix of sadness and happiness, but that is precisely part of its purpose: that when we leave, we have the ability to fly. And not just fly in any way, but with the tools needed to continue this journey.”

Leadership that inspires
Beyond her role as an entrepreneur, Daphne is also a community leader.

She has participated in training processes such as Facilitación para Liberarnos, where she now contributes as a facilitator, supporting Prospera’s Explora Course sessions and strengthening collective learning spaces. Her interest in sharing knowledge about alternative economies reflects her commitment to others’ growth.

Solidarity that goes beyond her business
Her impact extends beyond her business. Daphne also leads Dreamer Family, a nonprofit organization in Guatemala that supports low-income families.

The project aims to provide access to shelter, education, and technology, with the vision of creating a computer center and offering scholarships in robotics. In the future, she plans to expand this initiative to countries such as El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

Her motivation comes from a deep conviction: supporting those who have not had the same opportunities. Using this link, you can witness the celebration of Children’s Day, a very special moment for her and her community.

Additionally, she provides two free monthly services to mothers experiencing postpartum depression through the Birth Companion Community Center (BCCC), as part of her social commitment and love for her community, as a way of giving back to the community that has helped her continue moving forward.

A journey that continues
Daphne’s story is not only that of a successful business. It is the story of someone who chose to keep going despite setbacks, who transformed uncertainty into opportunity, and who today flies with purpose.
