Unete (Join a Co-op)
This is a brand new program to prepare Latina immigrant women to become worker owners of a cooperative business that is already established either by graduates of Prospera’s programs or other cooperatives in the Bay Area. This is currently designed as an 8 week series that covers all aspects of cooperative business ownership including the business model, group communications and governance. Participants have the opportunity to learn directly from worker owners of established cooperatives such as Rainbow Grocery, Arizmendi Bakery, Home Green Home, Mandela Markets and more. Graduates of this program will be prepared to apply become a worker owner of a coop where there are openings.
