I have lived in the U.S. for almost 20 years and this is the first time that I participate in an event with Latina entrepreneurs. It gave me so much joy to see the humanity and warmth of our culture. That’s what makes cooperatives led by Latinas not just economically sustainable but also include the human factor as the key to the success of the business.
What motivates me most is being able to offer future opportunities for other women like me — that is the strength of cooperatives
I feel more hope to continue with what we started. I thank Prospera and the other women who were in the program for the motivation, the strength that they have given me with their stories, with their experiences.
I am taking a whole lot from this experience and I hope that many women will come and experience it for themselves. Because when they do come, they are going to walk away with a lot of information that will change their mentality from: “I don’t know how to do this” to “I know that it is possible”. Yes, we can!
